Zoom’s Rival, Google Meet Is Now Free
Today Google announced its video conferencing service, Google Meet, is now free.
Google is using this time to take a chunk of Zoom’s video chat, that has become prevalent with the stay at home orders spread throughout the country.
Google Meet does require a free Google account, and will include 100 participant limits, screen sharing and real-time captions.
Google isn’t the only company coming after Zoom. Last week, Facebook announced Messenger Rooms, a new feature that lets users video-chat with multiple people through Messenger.
